Commlink #47
Weekly Review
This week 47 at the Community DAO, incredible stuff continues to happen! Top of the charts is maybe the pending deal we have going forward with actress Sherilyn Fenn of Twin Peaks fame!!! THE Sherilyn Fenn is collaborating with C0MM/DAO for a uniquely exciting new NFT series entitled “Immortal Sherilyn: The Fenn Phaser Collection”!!! See the design doc here:

Keep an eye out at NFTRVN, our exclusive marketplace partner on this deal, for upcoming developments. This is such an exciting project and could bring some serious noise to the Ravencoin scene!!!
In addition, Portal Particle Ring #2 has also surfaced from within the “Core Particle Ring” series over at the Ravenist. This is a special subset and collaboration effort with one of our favorite RVN NFT artists, MRP. There will only ever be 9 Portal Particle Rings in existence. Each one will be unique and have a bit of a story attached to it. For instance, here is our copy on #2:
Forged in the nexus of a dangerous Frankenstein experiment of cyborg research, genetic splicing and inter-dimensional portal exploration, the HEART RING contains extra potency as a symbol of the pumping center of the human being and all organic life on Earth, immortalized in a digital rendering. Portal Particle Rings are interactive NFTs containing live buttons that open portals. This limited series is a collaboration between artists, Dow and MRP. The signet ring of the future turns on and unlocks access to the Commtower in Sky City. Personalizable with address, granting entry. Ring comes with portal NFT by MRP and Whiteball.
The entire ring series is built up from this design doc: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1A3DvbzL45Huf9FSMRYKUswcPRhgBVFkUgyEAfUbWXyo/edit
It is a part of an effort to popularize a novel key or access format for our growing property in the Commtower in Sky City, sponsored by Alterverse.
Things are also progressing quite well in the C0MM/DAO Corral Collection. Our newest curator, Evilra, continues to revolutionize our contest doc index from week to week. We are getting close to breaking the 500-design-a-week barrier!!! See Evilra’s incredible spreadsheet for Week 47: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1xSTUc1TOaGLw62QG27TEJmOxDim_oUgUHfsxFfpNdGI/edit#gid=0
And watch developments as weekly contests are decided:

Congratulations to Evilra for also scoring a sale at the C0MM/DAO Corral!
Other than all these amazing developments, we would also like to honorable mention the work of Cerberus over at the new RBHZ server. We have been collaborating behind the scenes with RBHZ and are happy to encourage members at Community DAO to find their way through this incredible new effort. Cerberus is quite the talented IT specialist, as well, and is perfecting all sorts of new automated features and bots, as well as integrating efforts with curator leadership. Check out the RBHZ site for more reference: https://www.bountyhunterz.com/
We are also in talks with Cerberus (aka Spock) about perfecting some automated voting algorithms for Whiteballs to be used for our governance features at Community DAO, as a model for the Ravencoin blockchain to utilize as a go-to method of achieving consensus beyond the core DAO. More on that to come!
The final point I would like to review is the growing “Order of the Black Apes” at Community DAO. This is an internal grouping within the Marketing department at C0MM/DAO. Members are given a Black Ape NFT by MRP as well as a WHITEBALL governance token. In addition, they are granted access to a locked thread channel on our Discord, so that they may confer and make new motions within the Marketing sphere of action, by voting on new members and conferring on various issues affecting our team’s ability to further succeed in our endeavor of becoming the most effective NFT clearinghouse on the Raven chain.
This week we welcomed Sammypoet into the ranks! Congratulations, Sammy!!!
All right, let’s turn things over to The Community and see what is going on with our members! Have a great week!
Best,
Dow

My TV Channel Invention
When I was a little boy, my name was Happiness Eshiet. I conceived a vision to be my own boss because I saw how those that answered "BOSS" behaved in the movies during my childhood. I started parading myself as one, and then I started calling myself OG, which designates Oligarch.
Growing up, I still had a vision of becoming the man of my dream but in different endeavors. This is because I saw people of the lower class suffering with help from the middle or upper class. Some of them tried to make outstanding products, but nobody heard of their brands, so I told myself that I could be significant in life by helping people.
I chose to apply to a radio station as an analyst. During my dispensation at the radio station (Uniuyo FM), I invented what is today known as "DeHappinessTV.” It may be my name and my brand, but I want to fill people with happiness by helping the less privileged promote their products and sell them the world to meet their destinies.
My first visit to the River State (Nigeria) Museum
My first visit to the River State Museum was one I would never forget. It was like stepping back in time as part of history had come alive in front of my eyes.
On entering the museum, I could see countless beautiful artifacts from the past, from traditional implements like spears and arrows to more modern items such as kitchen utensils and toys. It was wonderful to see them, but what struck me the most were their intricate details - the craftsmanship that must have gone into creating these artifacts was unbelievable!
I kept wandering aimlessly through each room, amazed by all the various things I saw. My eye was drawn to a huge Tribal shield that stood protectively on the wall, which immediately took me back to my roots. As I continued exploring the museum, I learned more about indigenous African culture and its vast tapestry of different customs and beliefs.
The Political Office and All that Comes with It
I just got admission into a tertiary school. I was bent on having good grades by focusing only on my studies. Completely taking off my mind from anything extracurricular, I attended lectures regularly as well as extra tutorials to ensure I maintained good grades. This continued till my third year when I decided to run for a political office in my department (Vice President). When I made my intentions known to the class, most of my classmates objected because they had already chosen a candidate and it wasn't me. I felt bad initially but got encouraged by my friends, who became my strongest supporters throughout the race.
Campaigns began, and I gathered strong forces from all levels. While awaiting elections, my opponent stepped down, letting me go unopposed. I became vice president-elect. Although not entirely pleased about the stepping down of my opponent, I was pleased to see an achieved step in my aspirations. This was my first school political feat, and I was so happy during my inauguration.
A new dawn began with team legacy. It was time to show capacity, and to the best of my ability, we came through. In my fourth year, I contested again to be in the House of Representatives, which saw the light of day. I went further to contest as speaker of the house. This was where I lost, and I was unanimously given the Deputy Speaker of the House. Although demoralized about my loss, I still ensured to carry out my duty.
It was almost time for our final examinations. The class representative appointed leaders who would handle the planning of the final year dinner and the signing out outfit. I was honored to be in charge of finances. The outfits are meant to be used on the day we write our final exams. Although the outfit delivery was delayed due to the large order, we are grateful it turned out to be a great success. As the committee's finance director, my task wasn't easy. All hands were on deck, and as a team, we gave the class a befitting and memorable dinner.
The D-day finally arrived, and we were still busy putting things in order. Everyone was nervous. We also had a wreck by the DJ we hired. He had come to the venue, set up his stuff, and claimed he went to change. The time for the event had finally come, but without music. We tried to contact him by every means, but he didn't respond. Finally, he came an hour later. Thankfully, the event was a success and went on as planned. The highlight of the event was the presentation of awards to befitting students of the class from several categories. I was given the award of 'Most Political' of the class, and my friends got awards as 'Most Active' and 'Most Reserved.' My political offices have given me more opportunities to meet people, learn new things and grow, for which I am grateful.
My Update
Being a manager of the quality control department in a well-known table water factory has been one of the high points in my career.
Earlier this week, I was able to stand as a consultant and among the special guests at a pure water factory. The invitees were surprised to watch and listen to my point of view on water treatment and waterborne disease control.
The session lasted for about 2 hours at the factory. Later, I got an opportunity to take a few photos with the students who were in attendance.
The factory had staff whose jobs were clearly specified, and restrictions were made to control all kinds of misunderstandings.
I was given a visitor's identity label, even though I came with a team of experts.
The meeting resulted in an exchange of contacts and more invitations to product analysis, as well as sensory evaluation of new products in their pilot phase.
It was a great day, and I hope to be invited to more of it as a food scientist.
My Visit to the Fishing Port
As a coastal resident, I have always dreamed of visiting the fishing port. According to the descriptions given by known friends and family members who have visited it before, it is a place of numerous activities such as fishing, woodcutting, and general trading. This place can be likened to another world on its own.
The vastness of the water body surrounding it, the marshy area, the inhabitants of the tiny huts dwell, and the risk associated with the businesses going on in this area makes it look adventurous, so I decided to take a trip down there.
People who knew my intentions told me scary things just to discourage me, which were actually true to some extent, but I was insistent, so I forged ahead.
I had no intention of spending a week in that place, so I took a few things to last me for two to three days before I returned. I never knew I was in for so many surprises.
On the day of departure, I got to the bank of the river, which is usually the take-off point. I got checked into the boat. When the journey began, and we were at the creeks, I couldn't stand the water. I was scared, threw up countless times during the journey, and became so weak that immediately after we arrived, I was sent back home through another route using a speed boat. I became indisposed after the journey and could not achieve my sightseeing ambition.
But I found a few interesting items at the bank of the river before we departed. They are:
An expired boat that has been abandoned for years. It hasn't decomposed but is no longer useful.
I also found a stalk of firewood and firewood wraps.
For now, I have no intention of visiting that place again. Maybe later in life, I will go back, but for now, I am done with that adventure.
When I First Used A Computer
I recall using a computer for the first time like it was yesterday. My secondary school in Etim Ekpo L.G. A, Akwa Ibom state, had recently acquired a computer lab. As a student, I was intrigued and ecstatic to finally have the chance to learn and apply this new technology.
A small room with several desktop computers lined up against the walls served as the computer lab. Each computer was outfitted with a monitor, keyboard, and mouse. I remember being a little intimidated when I first approached the computer. I'd never used one before and had no idea what to expect.
Mrs. Uduak, our computer teacher, was patient and kind. She introduced us to the computer's basic components and demonstrated how to turn it on and off. She then showed us how to navigate through the various programs and applications using the mouse and keyboard.
The computer's seemingly limitless possibilities captivated me. We practiced typing documents, creating presentations, and even playing simple games. As I spent more time on the computer, I became more confident and at ease with it.
One of my favorite computer lab experiences was learning how to make a PowerPoint presentation. I was astounded that I could create something that anyone could view. It was an incredible feeling to have created something with such widespread appeal.
Looking back, I realize that my first experience with a computer was the beginning of a lifelong love and passion for technology. It opened up a whole new world of possibilities for me, and I am grateful for having been introduced to it at such a young age.
Overall, my first experience with a computer was exciting and memorable. It was a watershed moment that shaped my future career and technological interests.
My Favorite Experience at Guitar’s Hangout
Nothing compares to the experience of playing guitar with your friends and losing yourself in the music. One experience sticks out above all the others that I have had at my favorite guitar hangout during some absolutely remarkable nights. Last Christmas, I was surrounded by friends as we plugged in our guitars and jammed till the wee hours. No notes were off, simply joyful harmony as we all embraced our mutual passion for music.
I had a great time at Guitar's Hangout, and I'll never forget it. I began playing a new riff I had been practicing while jamming with my mates. The silence in the room suddenly broke, and everyone turned to look at me. At that precise moment, I felt like a rock star, and it was the nicest sensation ever. It was a fun-filled evening with good conversation, music, and a terrific company that made me feel right at home. This experience has since become one of my favorite memories and has motivated me to keep creating music in any way I can. Playing music is something that always makes me happy, whether it's picking up a new guitar chord or jamming with friends.
The Three Great Memories About My Future
Memory is the mental process of retaining information, and the future is a likelihood of success. Having the ability to mentally travel forward in time is an important tool that allows humans to adapt and prepare for future events. So, developing the plan and choosing how you will remember to perform the intended action is the most flexible aspect.
My Future Dream
I spent most of my life in a village called Bakassi in Nigeria, west Africa. I lived in a riverine area where the majority of people are uneducated and uncivilized. It's a life experience I'll never forget. Most people living in this community are living from frypan to fire.
I'm too curious, worrying about what life will offer in the future. I spent 80% of my day thinking and thinking, hoping for a good life, talking to myself in the mirror, sometimes questioning my Creator about what the future will be like, and taking the necessary steps to adhere to the goals, the dreams, and my aspirations. My dream will become a reality when I'm able to eliminate poverty in Bakassi land. I've experienced what living in a poor community feels like. A community where there's no electricity and no good roads. The youth and the old are struggling to earn a living with farming.
I dreamed of becoming an ambassador of light to those that are in darkness, creating job opportunities for the jobless, empowering the youth, equipping them with the necessary information and skills, and awarding them with scholarships.
Investing is the most paramount aspect that will bring life fulfillment in the future. In this aspect, being an entrepreneur is the way out of poverty and changing the world: bringing lost hope, exposing them to different sets of jobs, and educating them in order for them to qualify and attain their goals in the 21st century.
In my youth, I knew little of being great. I received little exposure or enlightenment on the subject. I struggled with making decisions. As I grew older, I began to realize how important it is to help others.
There's a saying that youth is the future of tomorrow. It's fulfilling to watch someone achieve his or her goals. Sensitizing and orienting young people is a good way to help them acquire skills, and become independent and successful in society. My dream is to establish a firm or a science park in collaboration with some government parastatal. This will lift some people to the highest levels of achievement, and it will increase the economy of the country. The crime rate in our country will be reduced drastically.
By achieving this, the future would be great.
My Dream Job
I have set goals for myself at various times in my life. However, getting there is not simple, so I must constantly put in more and more effort to achieve my goals.
I've always wanted to be a footballer since I was a young child. This is because I have seen the fortune football players made for only going out for training. This realization motivated me to pursue a career in football because I love playing the game, and it's fun to exercise while doing so. In high school, I decided to continue my football academy pursuit.
I started playing football in primary school and continued to play through secondary school. Years later, my dream of becoming a professional football player was sabotaged. I missed a huge opportunity to travel out of the country to play football. It all started when I joined a football team immediately after secondary school. I became their team captain because of the skills I usually display on the pitch. I was loved by everyone, including my coach.
One day, my coach brought me a letter to join a bigger team for an international match. A specific amount of money was required from all of us who were going on the trip. Since I could not afford to pay, I was dropped. I felt so devastated because I felt I lost my dream job.
I still hope to have an opportunity to live out my dreams of becoming the greatest of all time in the world of football.
Creating a Love Nation
What does love mean to you? Love is a set of behaviors and emotions characterized by intimacy, commitment, and passion. To me, it involves care, closeness, protectiveness, attraction, affection, and trust. Love has hands to help others, feet to hasten to the poor and needy, eyes to see misery and want, and ears to hear the sighs and sorrows of men. That is what love looks like. (By Saint Augustine).
For the less fortunate children on the street, it's important to provide them with the help they need. It's important to create a loving world for them. To love your nation is to desire to see it become the best version of itself, to point out its failures, to acknowledge how we have all contributed to allowing its worst to continue, and to work together to create a community in which every resident has all they need, by providing love, food, shelter, health, peace, prosperity, and are truly treated as equals in every regard, said John F. Kennedy.
To give us a better tomorrow where crime is a thing of the past, we need to help the less privileged in our society. We can do this by giving them a serene environment for education and opportunities to develop skills, nurturing them to be better people in society. Seeing the unprivileged ones happy and having a sense of belonging is what gives us many memories in the future.
Ambassador Report
It's another great week here at CommDAO. The marketing team is doing great with their beautiful designs circulated around the globe via Twitter and other social media platforms. Last week, we were able to generate over 500 unique designs, and a good number of these designs were chosen to be minted into NFTs and sold at an affordable price. Lastly, a member of the marketing team got leveled up to join the Order Of The Black Age. Congratulations @sammypoet#2800. We encourage everyone to join us as we aim to flood the NFT marketplaces with our lovely designs that have a trace of CommDAO. In conclusion, below is the Leaderboard for week 47.
