Weekly Review
I have always liked the symbol of the ocean being still on the surface while full of life underneath. It comes in handy occasionally as a metaphor in human fields of interaction. Recently, it came to me as I observed ‘surface’ level chat activity on Discord within servers compared to various individuals interacting through the function of DM messaging.
What I have noticed is that over the course of the past year, much of the dynamic activity at the Community DAO has moved below this surface. Generally, we see slight chatting, occasional greeting/welcoming, posting various updates and reports, and reward notices for active advancements. But compared to the frequent messaging that I personally do with individuals in the organization, and with other individuals and groups, behind the scenes, who have a separate Discord camp, the surface activity is quite slight.
And so, this week at Community DAO, again, I found myself spending most of my spare time, under the surface, reviewing materials generated by our marketing team on two primary fronts, design and writing. Again, we found that by another visible metric at RVN-Dashboard: https://www.rvn-dashboard.com:3000/d/RFxvsAvnk/rvn-hd-dashboard?orgId=1 the activity of C0MM/DAO is quite high. For several weeks, possibly months running, we are consistently scoring 2nd or 3rd overall, on the entire Ravencoin blockchain, for asset distribution activity, which means that we are effectively circulating the CommToken amongst working members of the organization. These are payouts that we do based on a variety of tasks, contests, and jobs.
And yet, there are but a handful of vocal interactions in the open #group-chat forum, in any day-to-day analysis. While this is but one ‘surface’ area to view interactions, it is a central location for us.
Someone on Twitter posed the idea months back that perhaps Discord itself was like some sort of meta-DAO. And there may be some truth to that due to the way it is configured to facilitate community internal development while simultaneously facilitating across-the-aisle interactions. There is no one visible center, except that it is all happening in Discord, which is, in a way, one single place. It is truly decentralized, though.
Anyhow, we continue to be quite busy overall, and the time has come to begin to establish a breaking period so that we can rest and recalibrate the organization and its various prongs of action.
We have put a hold on writing features for the Listen Up collaboration in order to examine more closely the prodigious amount of data our team has generated for the past 7 weeks, as gathered by myself and Dr. Alina Okun, who has been actively maintaining 2 databases constructed specifically for this project:
https://www.notion.so/ListenUp-bbc2a0df8d80449591368e27cae75ffa
https://airtable.com/shruS5Ql4g8EdhdOT/tblVdMyLtWjb5Ldn1/viwuN98Pb6iUCRAnw
Alina has done quite a fantastic job not only in effectively filling these databases with data, but in designing them in attractive ways, with multiple avenues of analysis available.
This week she came up with the idea to request updates from each of our team members from Nigeria. And so we did, and we received many good entries. This is a special issue with some original pictures and an up-close glimpse of several of the individuals who work hard every week here at Community DAO.
We are also winding up our general-themed design contests with this Commlink, finishing out round 2 for the AI Art Theme. Follow the progress of winners and awards in the various categories here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1IatC6b28AymA4aTKiZL02u9EvkTqVZeTD7lj5HS4VzY/edit?usp=sharing
Again, we received well over 100 designs and saw much improvement from the marketing team as they have had more time to practice with the AI generators.
We are now planning to begin to convert design energy into developing lines of NFTs for each of our creators. After a month of experimentation and refining the process of minting from the C0MM main asset token, we feel confident that we can now sponsor our members as they begin to develop their own series on available marketplaces.
Currently, these are the available NFTs we have minted so far through the Community DAO brand, the C0MM:
https://nftrvn.net/buy-nfts/ols/products/ethiopia-lip-plate-woman
https://www.ravenist.com/collections.php?seoid=c0mm-dao-governance-system
We are just beginning to unleash the full creativity of this organization. It’s an exciting time. Look out for more innovative utilities possible within the Ravencoin asset structure, to be showcased through new series each week and month! We have even had some queries about conjoining the C0MM to a variety of real estate assets, which is an exciting prospect, as that would bring us a full circle back to the initial protocol that had such success in generating interest in the Community DAO. What a journey it has been!
I have continued to edit and improve the “Digital Governance Handbook” initiated last week:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1npbdZv7PGnvTLkW1q3zb7b-uDPZXNdt1mN12tLSGPX0/edit?usp=sharing
In time, we will conjoin it to our Whitepaper as the fundamental backbone of our tokenomics and governance:
https://commdao.org/%c2%a2ommpaper/
Finally, we continue to stake a claim in Sky City with the Commtower. We are building an active dev team through word-of-mouth and the Core Particle Ring’s activation page. New members are already making their way onto the scene, with more sales accomplished this week. And though it was a bit stormy and foggy, I was able to visit in an aircar one day:
Without further ado, let me get out of the way and let us get better acquainted with the wonderful individuals on our international marketing team, out of Africa!!!
Best,
Dow

My personal project
First and foremost, I need to be clear about what I want out of my career and be willing to work hard to achieve my goals. It's also important to develop a strong portfolio that will showcase my best work and find the right clients who will value my skills.
I need to set up my portfolio. This is where I'll showcase my writing and design skills, as well as my experience and expertise. Again, make sure it's easy to navigate and that all of my best work is featured prominently.
I need to start building a network. This means reaching out to other writers and designers, as well as potential clients. Attend industry events, join online communities, and get involved in social media. The more people I know, the more opportunities I'll have.
You've probably heard the saying, "choose a job you love, and you'll never have to work a day in your life.” Well, that's kind of the goal I'm working towards. I want to be doing something that I love every day, and luckily, writing and design are two things that I really enjoy.
The key is to keep exploring until I find my calling.
But I love asking myself, "What type of writing and design work is in demand?"
I have a Bachelor's in Economics (B.sc), and I'm thinking of furthering my education to a Master’s and Doctorate starting in 2023.
Lastly, I am an article writer and SEO expert and also a professional teacher here in Nigeria. I am single, and hopefully, going to get married soon.
My hobbies are reading, swimming, table tennis, listening to music, driving, and traveling. I'm a Christian by birth.
My World
The truth is my level of reasoning now is way better than when I was born. Yes, we expect it to come naturally, but with me, it wasn't always the case. I've grown to build and nurture my mentality, which in turn has affected my ideas, plans, and level of reasoning over the course of days, months, and years.
It took some time for me to come out of my shell and make myself known to others without being embarrassed or afraid about it. I didn't major in customer service in college. I studied English and hence had no idea what it took to keep clients satisfied, much less how to take advantage of that. I had little, both financially and professionally, but I never gave up on my aspirations. I invested a lot of work in creating my own identity and personal brand.
To be honest, those of us who are not opportune to come from a very wealthy background find it challenging to make our dreams a reality. We struggle to connect with opportunities. Nevertheless, I had to do it because I got that business attitude from my mother. It has always been a part of me since my mother runs a company. She taught me how to sell and run successful enterprises when I was a young child.
My dream is to establish fruitful interactions with the right people. This is how I transformed my life and profession to eventually become the capable social media manager and customer service expert I am today. I adopt an optimistic outlook, and even if I fail, I always let myself cry it out before changing my approach.
Every day, I attempt to learn something new. It's funny, but I pick things up quickly. I discovered I should not confine myself to what I have. I constantly think creatively and act absurdly. I’ve developed a sense of self-assurance. There is a story behind each scar and mark on my body. I make an effort to be deliberate when networking and conducting business. I develop a resource for original solutions. You can't visit me for a while and then leave the same way. It's impossible.
My name is Emediong Imo Ukpongete. I am the last child out of the five children of Elder Mr/Mrs Imo Abel Ukpongete. I am 21 years old. I am from Ika Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. I live in Akwa Ibom state, Nigeria.
My education life revolves around Holy child International nursery and primary school, police secondary school Ukana and University of Uyo. I am a Christian by birth. My passion has always been to contribute to the growth and development of the world around me.
My ardor for blockchain is also something I love sharing. I am always willing to contribute to the growth of blockchain and also create an impact in any little way I can. Content creation and graphic designing are some of my greatest hobbies. I have contributed to many projects like Telos, Chacha, Arc Finance, Melody, Rebaked, etc. Being revolutionary is also my hobby, as well as football and gaming. My greatest goal is to make an impact that can't be compared with any, in any place I find myself. I also want to leave a mark that's second to none when I'm gone.
It is a pleasure sharing this little life information with you. These are some of my designs in the portfolio. https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=1aeh5ncZ9aHmfL-Y_gaBj3oPTlVbh9M9x
My Life’s Progress in Fashion School
When I saw how the economy of my country was deteriorating, I decided to get a skill that could help me find a job. I enrolled in a Fashion academy. I had a hard time getting the money I needed, and my academics took up a lot of my time. That led to some procrastination that lasted for 2 years.
I got a fully-funded opportunity to study with CALLYSIA ACADEMY after I finished my final exams. I was excited and enthusiastic, but I ran into a lot of issues at the beginning.
It's been 6 months of massive training, and my dresses and patterns are gradually taking shape. My coach and teacher have always described me as a go-getter. This kept me in line to be more focused and increased my zeal. I totally love my newest trade, although it's still a work in progress. I love everything about it, from pattern designing, drafting, sewing, finishing, and embellishment to a major pathway to my fashion career.
Story About What Changed in My Life
About 3 months ago, I completed my secondary education and traveled from home to be with my eldest sister, with the aim of experiencing life away from home. This is the farthest and longest I’ve been away from my parents. Living with my sister changed certain things in my life, ranging from my behavior, language, and thinking.
I enrolled in a computer academy where I got the opportunity to expand my knowledge of graphic design. After a few months of intensive training, I became a pro in graphics. I also learned about abstract painting. Here are some of my designs
Secondly, I got introduced to a Web3 platform. I learned about Web3 and became a part of the Community DAO marketing team.
CommDAO Profile
My name is Alozie Nwosu. I am Nigerian. I graduated from the prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka, in 2009, where I read law.
My journey in the crypto world began sometime in 2017 when I joined and opened an account on the crypto blogging platform Steemit. I created and published content. I was also involved in some airdrops for certain cryptos. The first crypto I ever held then was Egold (EGLD). That was in 2017 or thereabout, and I cherished it so much.
Sometime in 2021, I joined another crypto blogging platform called Hive and PublishX. Hive is somewhat similar to Steemit. I must say, however, that I have really thrived in Hive ever since then. My username is @alovely088. You can also join with this link https://ecency.com/signup?referral=alovely088
During my short spell in the crypto world 🌍, I have worked for several projects as an ambassador, content creator, and so on. They include but are not limited to the following: Strip Finance, Yoda, Yin Finance, Chacha, Zecrey, Unifarm, and others.
Presently, I am an ambassador for The Community DAO and LuckyChip (a web3 lottery and casino-based #gamefi that offers rewards to users of its ecosystem either by playing, staking💰, farming🧺 or just referring users to the platform).
My hobbies include: sightseeing, traveling, football, blogging, reading, and lots more.

Myself
By means of nativity, I was told by my mother that my name is Emmanuel Paul, born to a catholic family from West Africa, a small town in Nigeria, Akwa Ibom State, Obot Akara Local Government Area. My journey began when I knew how to read, write, and enrolled in a primary school down to my university level.
I have experience in Computer Appreciation, WordPress, and graphic design. With this experience, I had the opportunity to work for Info Guide Nigeria as an Editor. Since I am still a student despite my work with The Community DAO projects, and because I face many obstacles in my studies, I would greatly benefit from having access to a laptop and a mifi device. I have faith that everything will fall into place in due time. I'd like to add my thanks to DowDao's for his hard work on this project.
About Myself
My name is Happiness Eshiet, but I'm known far and wide as Pablojay. I just graduated from the University of Uyo in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.
After I graduated from the university, life became so miserable that I left my hometown and relocate to another location, because I didn't want to be a burden to my parents after I graduated.
Just like a typical me, I thought everything would be okay when I relocate to another location, but I’ve realized that it is the same everywhere until you determine how to create something out of nothing.
Then, I went to a fashion shop to learn how to make fashion design. After a few months, I took pieces of clothes and placed them on the world, and with my little knowledge of drawing, I created a picture of my sister here👇👇
However, after months of doing designs, I went and registered at a radio station as a sports analyst, but I realize that I couldn’t work for someone forever. After that, I developed a passion for creating my own TV studio, "DeHappiness TV.”
Though the studio is not yet manifested, that's what I have planned for myself, and I have made moves for it, but there's no money to make it a reality.
My Love For Technology
After high school, I fell in love with technology. One of the aspects of technology I loved was computers, though I didn't own or have access to computers, because I came from a poor home.
I happened to meet someone who asked me to come and learn things on the computer. It wasn't going to be free, though. I didn't have the money to pay for it, so the chance to learn tech slipped away, but I didn't lose hope of learning tech, because I had a belief that a day would come when I will be opportune once again to learn tech.
That day finally came! So far, one of the things I have learned and still learning in tech is link building - this plays an important role in increasing organic traffic through search engines, especially in competitive companies. Also, it is one of the things every website owner and commercial business needs to increase traffic to their websites and boost business success.
My Future Plans
Initially, I never had ambitions about internet-based opportunities aside from my blogging experience. But when I got introduced to the Community DOA and participated in a few of its projects, I realized a whole new world of the metaverse. I also got little exposure to digital marketing.
In the near future, I want to be good in the following online marketing skills, namely: copyediting. I want to learn how to write good content suitable for product marketing.
Email marketing
I would learn how to reach customers on behalf of companies through emails giving them useful information about companies’ products and services.
SEO and social media management
I have just enrolled in the copyediting course and hope to complete it soon.
These are my priorities for now, and I want to learn these skills as soon as possible.
Living a life full of tasks and responsibilities has been my favorite lifestyle.
I got into the blockchain industry in 2017 when we had fewer tokens and more trusted men and women. Back then, I loved using steamit.com (now on Hive Blockchain) as my basement and a place to learn more about the most trending cryptos. Those events built me up to the standards that I've attained today. Currently, I work for many Blockchain projects such as CommDAO, Aliveandthriving (hive.io), and many other remote crypto jobs as a consultant.
Getting to my greener pastures is like starting all over again. That is why I must focus on the few projects in which I've got permanent positions that are significant to the project owners.
Thanks to Dow Harris (CommDAO) and Eric Gustafson (Aliveandthriving) for their trust and belief in my efforts and contributions to the success of their projects.
The last 4 months have been really tough for me due to the fact that I'm in my final year at Accra Institute of Technology (currently writing my exams).
This, to an extent, has seriously reduced my participation in all of my online jobs, which includes making designs and writing articles for ListenUp collaboration.
I will soon be done with academic activities and face the real world of tech as I hope to see. By the way, I am working on an NFT to be minted on RVN Blockchain and listed on either NFTRVN or Ravenist NFT marketplace.
Thanks to DowDAO for housing individuals like me with a common interest in taking CommDAO to the next level.
Thanks for reading my story.

Ambassador Report
Growth is constant and has become the main point to be emphasized in The Community DAO. Earlier this week, the Ambassador Squad got an official upgrade to The Marketing Team. This has been the song in many people's minds, ringing every time and all day.
We have massively contributed to the growth and development of both The Community DAO and our collaboration with LISTENUP. To add to our week's achievements, we’ve also stormed the internet with over 140 unique designs generated with AI specifically for the growth, development, and awareness of our dear CommDAO. We won't stop the marketing job, even after CommDAO makes its first touch on the moon. Below is the Leaderboard for week 38.
Commlink #38
This is quite impressive I must say.
